Executive Governor of Wisconsin
Scott K. Walker is the 45th Governor of the state of Wisconsin, USA. Prior to assuming his current office in 2011, he served as the Milwaukee County Executive for eight years. In 1992 Walker was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing a district in western Milwaukee County. In 2012 he won a recall election, and was re-elected governor in 2014. In 2016 he contested for the Republican candidacy for the president of the United States.
Under his leadership, Wisconsin has had a budget surplus each year, which in turn contributed to economic growth within the state. In 2016, more people are employed in Wisconsin than ever before in the state’s history. The unemployment rate is at its lowest in 15 years, and the percentage of people with gainful employment is one of the highest in the nation.
